Adhesive tapes
Adhesive tapes are products with numerous compositions and thus offer a wide range of possibilities for industrial applications. Indeed, a great number of different backings and adhesives is available to compose adhesive tapes. Each composition, as well as the shape and the dimensions of the adhesive tape, are adapted to one industrial end-use. Application fields for adhesive tapes are therefore diverse, but the most important for us is the field of electrical and electronic industries (transformers, motors, coils, power supplies, printed circuit board etc...). Other uses include masking, fixing, packing, tabbing etc...
An adhesive tape consists of : · A backing · The adhesive.
The backing layer determines the characteristics of the final adhesive tape. Therefore, it is the insulating part in the case of an insulating adhesive tape. Used materials are for example polyester, clothes, papers, polyimide film, epoxy film, etc...
The adhesive is as important as backing. First of all, both materials have to be compatible with each other. The adhesive strength of the tape will depend on both the adhesive and the materials on which the adhesive tape will be applied.
The following tables will present you the different adhesive tapes and abrasives we offer. You will find the most important characteristics of those products and we are at your disposal to help you in your choice and to provide you with more detailed information on those products.
